    An internationally recognized researcher in speech and language and research professor at The Ohio State University. Her work focuses on a better understanding of variation in pronunciation patterns in populations of all ages, including children and younger and older adults. Using various speech measurement methods, statistical data analysis approaches, and experimental paradigms, she has studied dialect variation in American English spoken in the United States, second language acquisition, and speech-language disorders.
